Terra Mystica

Chaos magicians, giants and darklings. Witches, fakirs and cultists. Each player governs the fortunes of one of 14 possible factions. As varied as the inhabitants of Terra Mystica are, all have in common the ability to transform the landscape: using terraforming they can convert fields into preferential building plots. Upon these they erect structures such as houses, temples or strongholds and even found complete towns and cities. In this opulently appointed strategy game, buildings erected close to other player’s populations are rewarded with additional power. Given the many possibilities for action, it is important to get the timing right to achieve best possible points in the six rounds of assessment. Those players who revere the various cults and spread their constructions on the board widely and wisely, will really clean up in the final assessment.
