Who will build the most beautiful towers in Asara and earn the most prestige with the Caliph? The players are called up to compete and must use different tactics to try and construct the land of 1000 towers. Coloured cards are used to acquire tower pieces, construct buildings or take money from the bank. Once a player has played the first card in an action space, all later cards played in that round have to be the same colour. At the same time, these master builders have to keep track of their money and the windows which can bring valuable points. The tallest tower of course earns the most points. But building a lot of towers and getting second place in different areas can be more beneficial. Who will finally receive the favour of the Caliph is uncertain until the very end, in this atmospherically illustrated building game.

Jury statement
Like in a fairytale Dubai, players build taller and taller towers. What makes this game special is its very elegant card mechanic, which lies at the basis of all actions. Having to follow the colour of the first card played means you’ll need good hand management in order to keep your options open, even in the face of disruptive play by your opponents. The large Oriental-looking game board doesn’t just look inviting but lets your imagination run wild.
