There is no more room on the Earth’s surface so mankind has decided to escape to the bottom of the sea. In “Underwater Cities” players build a network of tunnels and settlements on the ocean floor. They can find the resources they need in desalination plants and algae farms, while using laboratories to make advances in scientific research. At the heart of the game is choosing which actions to take and how these can be supported by the cards in your hand. On your turn you can use an empty action space to, for example, build another city or collect resources. If you are able to play a card matching that colour at the same time you can use its effect. To be a successful underwater architect you’ll need to carefully prioritise your choice of cards and cleverly identify synergy effects.
