Mischwald (Forest Shuffle)

Mischwald (Forest Shuffle)

The centre of the table becomes a forest clearing and players all build their own unique forest around it. Eight species of tree can grow here: from maple to birch, pine to chestnut. Players can place animal cards on each of these trees, as long as they can pay the cost. The interesting part is that all cards show two animals; when you play a card you have to decide which one will be covered up forever and which one you will use to enrich your forest. Each type of animal has its own way of scoring points. Some want to stay in pairs, predators like to eat deer, butterflies enjoy their own diversity and wild boars like to care for their young. The variety of the cards and their mechanics presents interesting decisions even for experienced players.
