Four dangerous viruses threaten humanity. Players must join together in a mission to develop a cure and save life on earth. You’ll travel to infected cities, share knowledge and treat the disease. But the disease will spread, outbreaks will aggravate the situation, the worst-affected cities will begin to riot. And that’s just January. In contrast to a normal game of “Pandemic”, the Legacy version follows a story, revealing new surprises month by month. You’ll need to put stickers onto the board’s map, open boxes full of new material, rip up cards and expand the rulebook. Victories and catastrophes have significant impact and will influence all subsequent games. What will your world look like in December, after at most 24 rescue attempts?

Jury statement
Pandemic Legacy isn’t just a game, it’s an experience. Players feel like protagonists in a thrilling TV series with Matt Leacock and Rob Daviau’s plot providing the narrative framework. The irreversible nature of each decision and its consequences on future plays mean that every 12-month cycle is both finite and unique. Pandemic, already an excellent game, has been elevated to a masterpiece.
