Passt nicht!

Passt nicht!

Many card games want you to play cards from your hand onto a communal discard pile with the winner being the first player to get rid of all their cards. ‘Passt nicht!’ turns this well-known concept on its head. In order to score points at the end of a round, you’ll need to not be able to play cards onto the discard pile. Only then can you play a card into your own private play area and keep it for scoring at the end of the game. But beware: these carefully curated point-scoring cards can quickly disappear if you are able to play them onto the discard pile on later turns and you’ve got nothing you can play from your own hand. Which will result in evil cackles of delight from your opponents.
