A guessing game, a story game but above all a wonderfully sumptuous adventure: this is Traumfänger. The most important components – aside from lots of imagination – are square cards and round discs. The former represent nightmares and the latter cuddly toys of different sizes that chase the nightmares away. Children take it in turns to choose a cuddly toy that will ideally completely cover the nightmare – the smaller the toy is, the more points it is worth. So what represents points? These are lovingly illustrated cardboard chips, that are drawn – not from a boring old bag – but from a soft pillow and placed on a cloud bed. The images on the chips help to tell a story of the dream. The subject matter is perfect for children and the execution is an absolute dream.
