Out of the zoo and onto the racetrack. Thanks to its variable game board, “Zoo Run” is two races in one. In the co-operative variant, up to four older children work together to help the animals escape before the keeper notices anything. Then in the competition for the recent escapees, the daredevil animals jump into soapbox racers for a hectic race. The engine for both of these games is a puzzle mechanic: players get cards showing one to three animals pictured on the left and right – but only the front or back half. Only by matching the two halves correctly can players free the animals or move them forwards. With the right judgement even the tortoise, lynx, llama, panda or elephant can race away. The combination of furious matching and intense competition add up to an exciting puzzle race.
